On the 9th December Year 6 visited Thackrays Medical Museum. We had an fantastic time!

How to Trap a Troll!!

Year 6 have been writing intructions in BIG WRITING on how to trap a troll. There were some very imaginative ideas! I was really pleased with the result.

We have been doing a Science Experiment

This week Year 6 have been undertaking a Science Experiment looking at whether heat makes a difference to how quickly salt, sugar and coffee dissolve. We found out that the hot water dissolved them quicker than cold water. We enjoyed working in groups and with children we would not have necessarily worked with before!

Votes for Women!

In Year 6, we have been studying the Suffragettes! Look at our newspapers reporting on the 1913 Derby  showing that they would stop at nothing to get the vote!

Armistice Day

We wrote some letters from the trenches, . Here's a poem we looked at called Flanders Fields.
